My heart breaks for you! I am so glad that you have God to help you through all of this tough years. I have experienced the loss of my father through cancer and then in 2005 I lost my baby brother and mother in a car accident together. But none of those losses can come near the pain of loosing a child. Keep up the faith. You are in my thoughts and prayers. |

My cousin, Kathy, along with her only child, David spent time in Nebraska with family celebrating her mothers' wonderful life. Sad, yes, but she did have a good life and blest so many. Kathy's son, David left Nebraska with his uncle, John, while Kathy stayed behind a few more days to spend time with sisters, her father. The next day (yesterday, Feb. 11th) she received a phone call that her son was found dead in his bed. David was only 20. He was just with my father, my brother, my cousins, his mother, his grandfather. . .and now he is gone. My cousin has lost her mother and her only child in the same week.. I am surfing the web trying to find something to say to console her. . .but there is no consoling, is there? I am so terribly sorry for your loss, my heart breaks for you and I know you are trying to go on for your daughter and grandchildren. My thoughts and prayers are truly with you. And thank you for sharing your very intimate feelings. |

I know some time has passed since the accident. But as a survivor of losing a loved one, I know that time doesn't erase the pain or fill the void. Yet, keep those beautiful memories forever in your heart and talk about the good times as often as possible. Count each moment, not as one away from James, but one moment closer to being with him again. For the Bible calls death an "enemy", and God promises that he will bring it "to nothing".(1 Corinthians 15:26) This promise of God will do away with death and the pain it causes. It is my sincere hope and prayer that this will comfort your hearts. |
